A few days into the GenScope unit, two students from the Boston biology class are trying to mate dragons and, through proper alignment of the chromosomes and selection of gametes, to produce offspring with certain characteristics. The edited video is drawn from an entire class period, during which the girls tried vainly to produce gametes with the necessary alleles. The "Aha!" on the tape comes after many such attempts, and the student's excitement and pride are commensurate with (consequences of?) her earlier frustration.
