GS: The Organism Level

For information on the BioLogica program, which was based on GenScope, please go to mac.concord.org) to download the appropriate version of Pedagogica for your computer (PC or Mac). When you run Pedagogica, open the BioLogica folder and then double-click on the GenScope icon.

The Organism Level allows direct visual access to the various traits of the species being modelled, in this case dragons. Two additional species are available in GenScope - humans and Labrador Retrievers.
This level allows you to see the characteristics, or phenotype, of your species. It also serves as a gateway to understanding any organism's genotype at the Chromosome and DNA levels. Organisms may be dragged directly to the cell level for meiosis and fertilization of offspring. As changes are made to an organism in other levels they are reflected in the creatures displayed at this level.
